- I - Print your business cards
-
You should have received an introduction email with your personalized business card. We have created a video to show you how to order and upload your business card file on vistaprint.com. Google “vistaprint coupon” you will probably find some great coupons online.
If you wish to modify the card, we have enclosed a .psd file, you will need adobe photoshop to edit and change the template.
This template is sized for Vistaprint business cards, you just need to personalize it and upload it to vistaprint.com
If you do not know how to do it, go to any print shop with this file (Kinkos, Office Depot..) and they will do it for you, usually free of charge.
To be in accordance with Florida Law, please change only your name, your website if any, your phone number, and your email address.
The brokerage name and phone number need to stay.
You can change the design, colors, and fonts as you like.

If you wish to design your own business cards, you need to have the name of the Brokerage on the card and your full name with the mention"Lic. Real Estate Salesperson" and you should state your license number on the card since realtors won't find you in their MLS system, they will be reassured to know right away that you are licensed.

- 2- Setup your fax number (optional)
-
There are a lot of options for online fax, we like myfax.com, but again there is no real need or obligation. Some websites offer limited free faxing, use it.
- 3- Have your own website (optional but strongly recommended)
If you want to have opportunities in this industry, having a website is always a good idea. You can have a simple and effective website for a very low price, sometimes even for free. A blog is a great idea and they are usually free (WordPress, blogger...). The more you will post about real estate, the more organic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) you will get and make your blog/website visible for free on Google and other Search Engines. Some blogs have a mobile app like blogger, so it's easy for you to take a picture with your smartphone and post it with a comment on your blog to create organic content. If you are consistent with your posts, you will generate qualified leads. Let's say you visit a pre-construction sales office. Take as many pictures as possible, make videos of the salesperson with your smartphone and post it on your blog and youtube with comments. Chances are, you will get a phone call from a prospective buyer for this project or another one. If you think about real estate and take every occasion you have to put content in your blog, sales won't be too far to come.
- 4- You are your own Brand-Name
The stronger your Brand-name is, the better your chances are to be successful. Have your own logo designed by a Pro and your website or Blog set up by a pro, to give a modern and professional look to your activity and your Web and Brand Image. Finding the right Image and web designer is not always easy.
- 5- Your partner is a Real Estate Attorney & Closing Agent
You need to have at least one Real Estate attorney that you know personally to be successful in this business. If you don't know one, we provide a list of preferred Real Estate Attorneys we like to work with. Ask around you to be referred, if it does not work, find a Real Estate attorney close to where you live and ask for a Free consultation. Because you are the ones who send attorneys clients, the consultation must be FREE, if not..just find another professional. Introduce yourself and ask how this lawyer works and get his Escrow and Trust account information and deposit instructions. You will create a strong and special bond with this lawyer, who will become soon your best "friend" and your legal solution provider.
How to find a real estate attorney who will draft your contracts for free
This is how to find very easily, a real estate attorney in your local area who will prepare your contracts for free as long as he handles the title work (very usual).
1-Please google “name of your area or city” and “ real estate attorney”
We have prepared the following link for you.
2-Select a few of them, visit their website, and send them the following email, from their contact page (important to keep a record in writing).
__________COPY AND PASTE____________
Email Subject: Real Estate Contract and Title Work
“Name of the Law Firm”
Dear Sir or Madam,
Active Florida Realty LLC has so far more than 250 agents all over Florida and an important number of agents in your local area, and I am one of them.
1-Our Brokerage does not authorize its agents to fill out sales and purchase contracts.
We work instead with a non-binding term sheet, and when terms are accepted by both parties, we turn to a local real estate attorney and title agent to prepare and send out the contracts (at no charge) and do the attached title work.
I am in your local area and I have / I will have an accepted term sheet and need to go into contract asap.
Would you be interested and accept to prepare at no charge the contract and addendum(s), as long as funds are entrusted to your trust or escrow account and you handle the title work?
Best Regards
